NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO. Oct 22 - 1923

Dear Mr. Stefansson

Your letter of the 19" came today. Delphine is here
at this time, visiting us. I showed her your letter and she
also gave us your letter to read. We will be very glad to
have you stop over on your trip west, and Delphine will
come at the time you will be here if you will kindly
advise us a few days in advance. also tell us
what time you will arrive in Dennison and we will meet
you their and take you back for the train you will
continue your trip. No doubt you will pass through
Dennison which is 10 miles from here. I talked to mother
about your intention and she will want to see you
if possible, also Delphine. To-day I am sending a Photograph
of Fred in furs which a local Photographer made for him some
years ago, and he still had the plate. You need not return this one
for we can have more made. I thought it may be possible that
you may want to use it some time or in the diaries. Kindly
advise us when we can meet you at Dennison. Delphine
sends her kindest wishes and will no doubt write soon. Their is a
matter the Knights wrote her about which she would like to talk over
