Minutes of Meeting held April 16th 1915
Present Cr Jas O'Shanahan in the Chair Councillors Hall, Hartley, Garrett & Puckridge.
Minutes of Previous meeting read & confirmed.
Financial Statements were read by the Chairman also Statement of Rates & Wire netting Instalments collected.
Letter from Messrs Joyner Shepherd & Phillips stating that the appeal case of E.G. Jericho in connection with disputed Wire Netting loan had been desided against the Council.
Moved by Cr Hartley. That a full statement of all wire Netting accounts be prepaid by Cr Garrett & Clerk & place before the Council at their next meeting. Clerk also to arrange with Tumby Bay Council to meet the Lincoln Council to finally adjust netting account in the Tumby District. 2nd by Cr. Hall. Carried
Letter from Surveyor General Re L.W. Argent application for Wire Netting Loan asking the Council to reconsider the same.
Clerk to reply. That the Council did not consider the Land worth amount of Netting applied for, & in the event of Council

granting same. Should the Government protect the Council against loss for the amount.
Letter from the Commissioner of Taxes re assessment No. 3359 Hd Cummins Clerk to have Street at Cummins & the right of way through Bishops Land declared Public Roads.
Letter from Military Department re H Walker's Enlistment
Letter from Crown Lands Department re grants to D Council to enable them to have work done by providing material during the bad times. Clerk to reply asking the Commissioner to grant the £200 which the Council had applied for.
Letter from Surveyor General Re Wire Netting applications
Letter from Surveyor General Re Wire Netting Instalment due on the 1st February 1915. Saying that it was the intention of the Gov to postpone the payment for 2 years.
Moved by Cr Garrett. That the Clerk write the Surveyor Gen. asking him by what method he proposed to defer the payments.
Letter from Surveyor General Re Netting having been removed from off Blk 5 Hd Mortlock Clerk to look the matter up & report at next meeting.

Letter from Military Department Re Alien Subjects.
Letter from Bank of Adelaide stating that the sum of £5.5.5 had been paid into the Bank to the Council Credit & asked that a cheque be drawn on the Bank for the amount.
Letter from Dr. Goode asking that a Street Lamp be erected near his new REsident on Tasman Terrace. Moved by Cr Garrett. That the request be granted 2nd by Cr Hartley - Carried.
Letter from Sect. Yeelanna Vigilant Committee asking the Council to clear & gravel portion of the road between Yeelanna & Shannon Dam.
Letter from Sec Yeelanna asking the Council to proceed with Contract No. 30 also to gravel about 15 chs of gravelling between Blks 6 & 7 Hd of Shannon. Clerk to reply that the work was in progress.
Estimate of Urinal from C Geddes & Co Cost of material 3/10/Moved by Cr Hartley. That the urinal be erected near the old jetty 2nd by Cr Hall. Carried.
Letter from Adelaide Chemical Works re advertisements on the 25th Mile post.

Letter from T Smith re Bad state of road near the 19th mile post o/s to report at the next meeting.
Letter from Crown Lands office Re Forbes wire Netting accounts.
Letter from I Brougham Re drain on road at the back of his property. O/s to attend to same & have the drain filled in.
Letter from HC Leibich re Rates & Wire Netting Instalments.
Letter from Messrs Varley Evan & Thomson. Re Titles to old road in the Hd of Louth.
Letter from Messrs Joyner Shepherd & Phillips Re E Follett meeting of Creditors. Received.
Resolved That Clerk prepare a statement of Properties which had been abandoned on which Netting had been supplied & the amount of Liabilities thereon.
Letter from J.A. Riley Re collecting Cards for Belgium Funds.
Moved by Cr Garrett. That the letter be referred to the meeting which was being held at the Council Hall next day . 2nd by Cr Hartley - Carried
Wire Netting. Application from PL Crawford for 36 Rolls 42" + 1½ + 18.S on Blk 4W Hd Wanilla

Moved by Cr Hall. That the application be sent on in the usual way & that, the Clerk in future supply the Council with a statement of all Netting supplied on applicant lands 2nd by Cr Hartley - Carried
Accounts General Funds 118.15.6. Main Road 23 Account A. 13 - 9 - 8.
Moved by Cr Hall. That the account as read be passed for payment 2nd Puckridge. Carried
Councillor Hall asked that the overseer be instructed to report on Main Road East of Cummins at the next meeting. Granted.
Councillor Hall moved that Tenders be called for 25 chains of Gravelling on Cummins road for next meeting. Also asked permission to have another 4 chains added to Christies Contract. Also to have holes filled on road at Cummins & Councillor Hall to have the holes filled.
Councillor Hall moved that Tenders be called for work suggest by the Yeelanna Uy Com between Yeelanna & Shannon Dam 2nd by Cr Puckridge. Carried
