Minutes of Meeting held 21st Augst 09 Present all except Cr Parker_ Cr Bruce in Chair _ Minutes of last Meeting read & confirmed _ The chairman reported that since last meeting a Ratepay's meeting had been held & that he & Mr Leech with Mr DA Hall & RH Siviour had been to town to represent the Town & Country to wait on the Commissioner in order to obtain better Railway facilities at the New Jetty & were favourably received & the reply would be sent through the member's of the District. The commissioner stated that he would try & get the Haulage on the Balast of the Barque "Carmoney" reduced - but up to now no reply had come to hand_ Financial statement read by chairman _ Wire from Representation Travers Recd letters from Elder Smith re wire Netting Recd S.G recd re wire Netting _ Recd Letter recd from Mr Goodhart re planting Marram Grass. Moved by Cr Puckridge } That £5 be spent on planting Seconded by Cr Mitchell } Marram grass as an experiment Letter from J.H. Two Wells The Govnt be notified that the mill & tanks have not yet been erected but as soon as the work is done the Council, will send rent.
