Minutes of previous meeting read & confirmed. Financial statement read by the Chairman & Statements of Road accounts.
Chairman read Statement of Allotments held by E E Garrett & others. Proposed by Cr OShanahan ) That a legal opinion Seconded by Cr Morgan ) be obtained as to the legality of Mr Giles Transferring the said Blk to Mr Garrett. Carried
Audit. Auditors report read. Received
Mr Garrett read correspondence re Mays Wire Netting adjustments.
Deputation. Cr Hartley interduced Rev Lloyd & Mr Myring as a deputation in reference to procuring Golf Links on Park Lands East of Railway Line.
Proposed by Cr OShanahan ) That a 10 year lease be Seconded b Cr Puckridge) granted & that a Ratepayers Meeting be called to sanction the expenditure of Fencing same Subject to Lessees paying 5% on total cost. Carried

Moved by Cr OShanahan ) That Mr Cooper be 2nd by Mr Puckridge ) appointed Pound Keeper & K W Slater be appointed Ranger for Mortlock Ward. Fees to be taken as payment. Carried
Resolved that Overseer to procure Pound board & Send to Cummins.
Letter from Thos Knight Edillilie Re division of District. Received
Letter from R Murray Re Closing Rd through Sect 207 Hd Louth. Moved by Cr OShanahan ) That the necessary steps be taken 2nd by Cr Puckridge ) to have the road closed. Carried/

22/8/14 Letter from W Hartley Re charges of Council Chambers to the Choral Society.
Moved by Cr O Shanahan ) That the Charge be one 2nd by Cr Puckridge) £1- per annum. Carried.
Rotunda. Letter from A Woods re lighting the Rotunda.
Letter from H Sanders stating price to alter the music stand & putting seats arround same.
Moved by Cr Hartley ) That the necessary work be 2nd by Cr OShanahan ) done & ½ cost of same to be paid from the Band funds now held in trust by the Council. Carried.
Letter. From H Langford asking for extention of time on Contract at Edillilie. Granted.
Letter. from C Burnett asking that Pound fees be returned to him as he had paid Commonage for his cow. Moved by Cr OShanahan ) That the fees be returned 2nd by Mr Puckridge ) to Mr Burnett. Carried.
Letter from Surveyor General re wire netting applications received.
Letter from J V Whyte asking that Rd near the

22/8/14 19th mile post be repaired. Resolved that the O/S have the work done.
Wire Netting Letter from Messrs Joyner Shepherd & Phillips Re action on Wire Netting cases & Stated that some had been taken to a higher court & suggest that Mr Cleland K.C. be retained to argue the case for the Council. Approved.
Letter From Varley & Evan re Louth Road. Letter From Surveyor General re dates of meeting for next 3 months.
Proposed by Cr OShanahan That Clerk notify the Sur General date of Meeting. Seconded by Cr Hartley. Carried. Petition. From Ratepayers in Hd Shannon & Mitchell asking to have Road metalled near Inglis.
Resolved. That the overseer should have the road formed & drained when grader was in that part.
Petition. From Ratepayers in Hd Mitchell & Kiana Re Road along Railway Near Mount Hope
Proposed by Cr Puckridge That the Overseer report on same at next meeting. Seconded by Cr OShanahan. Carried.
Resolved. That overseer have sand removed off Rd between Blks 9 & 12 Hd Shannon.

Meeting 22/8/14 Resolved. That Tenders be called for Grubbing & Clearing Road from Wildeloo to Cummins Boundary for next meeting.
Councillor Puckridge asked that Overseer be instructed to inspect road at deep cutting on Railway near Mount Hope. Also that Well at Mount Hope be cleaned out & Rope & Bucket be procured for same. O/S to attent to same.
Councillor Morgan called attention to Stock travelling through the District without giving Notice to Ranger. Also to unregistered stock on Coulta & Lake Wangary Township. Resolved that overseer attend to same.
Councillor Hartley asked that 4 chains of Footpath be made in Adelaide Place provided that Contractor for other portion could do same at once. Granted
Councillor OShanahan asked that the Grader should be started at once at Louth & other places. Granted.
Councillor Puckridge for date of completition of DuBois Contract West Main Rd gate Supplied.
Assessment Proposed by Cr OShanahan. That the Revised Assessment be Adopted Seconded by Cr Puckridge. Carried
