Minutes of Council Meeting held August 21st 1920 Present Cr Jas O'Shanahan (in the chair) Cr RM McFarlane W Simes. SA Puckridge, WG Morgan. Apologies from Cr Hall. Minutes of previous meeting read & Confirmed. Financial Statement for past month submitted & read. Chairman stated that he visited Adelaide & waited on Com of Lands & stated that a sum would be granted for new hundreds also permission to sell netting off abandoned lands within the DC Linc Road Advance Notice from Local Gov Dept stating that £500 as advance for 1920-21 grant had been paid into Bank. Correspondence Wire Net Letter from Sec Lands dated Aug 5th stating that the Gov could supply wire netting for the following prices 36 x 1½ x 18g @ £56-9-0 & 42 x 1½ x 18 @ £63-17-0.

A.L.Hills Application WN From same office dated 11th Aug. stating that Councils reason for not applying for the loan, appear to be reasonable & that no action would be taken by the Govt.

Road Works Circular from local Gov Dept re road construction & asked that Council instruct their officers to carry out the instructions.

R.P.A.Title Notice from Lands titles office stating application had been made by CM Hawson to have lots 2639 & 264 brought under the R.P. Act.

Local Gov Association Meeting 17/9/20 Notice received that the next meeting of the local Gov Association would be held in Adelaide on Sept 17th next.

War Trophies Notice received from S.A. State Trophy Committee stating that one Machine Gun had been alloted to Pt Lincoln. Committee Jas O'Shanahan, R.M.McFarlane & A.W.Wood

Fencing Creek Lake Wangary Request from Messrs GC & PL Puckridge asking for permission to extend their fence clear of creek at Lake Wangary Township which would enclose portion of Park Lands. resolved that request be granted at a rental of 1/- per year.

Petition From C Theakstone & others asking Council to repair road between Lincoln & Tulka also to make embankment to prevent sea water from coming on to road Resolved that holes be filled & O/S report on cost of damming back sea water.

Petition from H. Puckridge & others asking Council to make about 60 chains of drains to clear water from Coulta Township. Moved by Cr Morgan, That Mr W Doudle be asked to complete work let to him Viz draining water from Coulta Township 2nd Cr Puckridge.

Letter from WG Phillips asking Council to form about 18 chains of road & make 4 culverts on road leading to Geedobbie. Resolved that Council could not see their way clear to expend further monies on Geedobbie road at present.

A/c Tumby Account for £12-3-9 received from Tumby DC as half cost of clearing road Hd Hutchison Clerk to reply & send copy of advice.

re Sand Letter from Sec S.A.Farmers Union re sand drift to reply that Council could not deal with the sand drift.

Cr McFarlane Asked if Council would agree to have ticket office shifted from off oval to Institute Moved by Cr McFarlane, That Council grant the removal of ticket office at oval to Institute at Institute Cost & to be returned at any time Council may require same. Also asked that 1½ chains be added to Tylers Cont at Bayview, Granted. Also asked that road in front of Broughams be formed with grader from old to New West rd.

Cr Simes Asked that Daymen wages be 12/-, Man, Horse & Dray 15/- per day. (Carried). Also what is the distance Bees are allowed from Rds. Also asked that Green Patch road be repaired. Also that road turning off at Rittluyer to Coomunga be Formed & graded, O/S to inspect & report if necessary. Cr Puckridge Asked that about 20 chs of drain running through his property should be made about 4' wider - Granted Also asked if grader was available to grade road near C. Cuddefords. O/S Report read. Moved by Cr Puckridge, That O/S report as read be adopted 2nd by Cr McFarlane & Carried.
