Minutes of Meeting held 17/Dec 09 Present all except Cr Mitchell Cr Bruce in Chair _ Minutes of last meeting read & confirmed Financial statement read by Chairman Wire from Crown Lands Office stating that subsidy & main Road grants were available when vouchers would be sent on _ Crown Lands office re allotment stating that £706 & £450 special had been allotted to this Council for M.R. purposes_ Moved by Cr Puckridge 2nd S.A. Puckridge that voucher's be signed by Auditors & sent on car. Crown Lands office asking if a/c had been expended _ moved by Cr Puckridge 2nd Cr S.A. Puck That the necessary information be sent on. Crown Lands Department asking Council for suggestions of New D.C. Act _ and also the Copy of the New Zealand act relating to heavy traffice on the road, after discussion it was moved by Cr Puckridge 2nd by Cr S.A. Puckridge That at January Meeting the Council consider the Act in question thoroughly & report on same car letter from Mr Giles asking permission to lay pipes across the road _ Cr Bruce reported that he had given permission Letter from T Barrett re road running through blks 6 & 7 Hd Mortlock. Enquiries to be made estimate to be obtained and find out how may Ratepayer's would use the road in question. Letter Received from Mr C. Theakstone re road to Mickera offering to repair.

Moved by Cr Puckridge 2n Cr Morgan That Tender be accepted on Condition o/seer peg out the worst portion only. car From Crown Lands stating that £ 3 . 11 . 10 has paid into Bank for proportion of Licences _ Elder Smith stating Poison Cart had been sent on _ Petitions Recvd from Ratepayers re closing & opening the Roads in the Township etc. Moved by Cr. Puckridge 2nd by Cr Morgan that petitions be sent through own solicitors informing them to send same on to Surveyor General. Cr Bruce reported that a 20 feet right of way had been obtained throug block 77. Cr Morgan moved that the sand on West Main Road and also on Mt Dutton Bay road be removed. This was seconded by Cr Puckridge Cr Puckridge moved that relating to the Tender left over from last meeting to be let to Meer's No. 26 at 1.14.6 for half the distance on the understanding that when funds are available the Balance to be finished _ Car Cr Morgan called attention to the Creek North of Blk K. Warrow & moved that o/s to have same repaired Cost not to asceed £ 3 . 0 .0 overseer Report read Moved by Cr Puckridge 2nd Cr Parker that o/s Report be adopted with the exception of closing the road thro Whites River _ Car
