Meeting of Meeting held February 19th 1915 Present All. Cr Jas OShanahan in the Chair. Minutes of previous meeting read & Confirmed Financial statement & Estimate of works were read Wire from Com of Public works stating that he would visit Port Lincoln on Febry 17th & would hold a public meeting that night Grants. Letter from Sec to Com of Crown Lands re grants to District Councils. Stating that Conditions were being arranged & when some were completed the Council would be notified. Lamp at RO. Letter from Deputy Postmaster General Stating that a lamp had been erected near private Box windows at Port Lincoln Post office. Pillana Rd. Letter from Sec to Com of Crown Lands Stating that the Dept. could not incure any expense in Connection with the opening of the road Councillor Hall. Stated that he had waited upon the Com while in Adelaide & had been given to understand. That the council could take the money from A/c A. to have Pillana road opened. Moved by Cr Hartley. That Cr H all wire the Commissioner for permission to use the money from a/c A/- 2nd. by Cr Puckridge- Carried

Bathing Houses. Letter from Sec S A Harbors Board giving the Council permission to erect small Bathing Houses on the beach.

Rates & Netting Instalments Letter from Mrs McNeil. H Glover. W Patten & E & F Wards Asking the Council to allow Rates & Wire Netting Instalments to stand over till next year.

Moved by Cr Garrett. That the Clerk reply to the request stating that a communication will be made at a later stage 2nd. by Cr Hartley -Carried.

Circular From S.A Chambers of Manufactures Re dealing with local Manufacturers.

Letter From A.S.S stating that they would cover the drift sand on their land.

Petition. From W Foster & Others. Asking that road along Oxford Terrace. From the new west road to Mr. Lance Roses house be put in a fit state of repairs. Moved by Cr Garrett. That the Overseer report on same at the next meeting with a view of having same repaired 2nd by Cr Hartley-Carried

Fences on Rds. Legal opionion frrom Messrs Joyner Shepherd & Phillips Stating that the Council had full power to compel owners of propertys adjoining Public roads to remove encroaching fences from off the Road or Foot paths

Moved by Cr Garrett. That the letter be received & that the matter be left to the 2 Town Councillors & overseer, As a committee to report on same at the next meeting 2nd by Cr Hartley Carried

Rotunda Letter received from Mrs Page & T Williams asking for use of Rotunda on March 26th next Moved by Cr Hartley. That Mrs Pages request be granted for the 26th & T Williams to have same on the 25 th 2nd by Cr Garrett. Carried

Letter from S A Mellor. Thanking the Concil for use of Rotunda

Letter from C Venning that road between R H. Chapmans land be repaired. Overseer stated that 7 or 8 chains required Blinding. Work granted.

Lamp Lighting & Street Cleaning Report from Committee apointed to enquire into the best method of Lamplighting & Street Cleaning recommending that the Council combine the two positions. Also gave a form of Specification under which same could be worked.

Moved by Cr Garrett. That the report be adopted 2nd by Cr Hartley - Carried

Letter From W.L. Argent in reference to his wire Netting application resolved that Clerk to reply to same & that Mr Argent be asked to give the Council the Valuation of Land & the Improvement there on.

Letter From Manager of Commonwealth Bank re loans to District Councils

Moved by Cr Garrett That the letter be received & Clerk to file same for future reference. 2nd by Cr Hall - C arried

Petition From Jas Meadows & others Asking that the New Rd on Lauch Hill be made Cn Oshanahan asked that the Overseer reports on cost of same & that the clerk write the Commissioner of Crown Lansa for a special Grant of L 300 toward making the proposed new Rd- Carried

Flanders Brass Band Report from the Flinders Brass Band stating that they could not accept the Condition Suggestions by the Council also gave conditions under which they would play.

Moved by Cr Garrett. That the Band be suggestions be accepted for 12 months. & That the Band be asked to provide some concern during the year 2nd by Cr Hartley Carried

Allotment No 552 Cr Garrett stated the position regarding the ownership of this Allotment.

Moved by Cr Hartly That r Green be offered L 20--- as compensation for same. & that the Clerk write Mr R Carrell asking him to pay the Council L10 for Improvement there on Made by Mr Green 2nd by Cr Garrett--- C arried

Petition. From AG Laidlaw & others. Asking that the road on Southern end of Adelaide place to the proper road be made fit for traffic. Moved by Cr Hartley that the request be granted & That Tenders be called for next meeting. 2nd by Cr Garrett. Carried

Transfer of Wire Net application Thos Sampson asking permission to have netting on Blk 29 Hd Mithcell Transferred from FD Oswald to himself. Application Granted.

Accounts were then read. General Funds £108.17.2 A/c A 130-10-4 Wire netting Balance paid off 7-15-2. Wire Netting Instalments £550. Moved by Cr Hall. That the accounts be passed for Payment 2nd by Cr Morgan. Carried

Wire Netting Applications Were received from Cronin Bros for 53 Rolls 42 x 1½ x 18g R.L.C Sinclair for 18 Rolls of 42" x 1½" x 18.G Thos Sampson for 36 rolls of 36" x 1½ x 18.G W Sims 18 Rolls of 36" x 1½ x 18G. Moved by Cr Morgan. That the Applications be sent on in the usual way. 2nd by Cr Hartley. Carried

Warner Rd. Overseer read his report on the cost of making Warner Road fit for traffic. Cr Garrett stated that he had inspected the road with the Overseer & that £150 would put the road in very good order ie by following the old track around by Pillie.
