Anyone come across what the measure may be after looking at other wire netting applications looks like 42 .... ?

Word at start of 6 th line is not clear...

I think that word is The. and that he has missed out a word which is why it doesn't make sense.
Could the 42 ? be ea as in each .

I just discovered that the word that follows 42 is inch - denoted here by in therefore size of the netting as was suggested. I have edited that.
