At a supplementary Meeting of the Council on Saturday Morning July 18th. Appointment of Clerk Chairman reported that as a result of the Meeting of the Council in Committee Mr JO Jacobs had been elected District Clerk @ £150 per year without any percentage on Dog Fees or other licences & also appointed Pound keeper @ £10 per year. One Month's Notice on either side to terminate the appointment. Appointment of Overseer Mr CH Swaffer was appointed Overseer @ £160 per year Cr OShanahan Pro } That all the Councillors be Cr Morgan Sec } appointed to sign cheques & the Bank notified. Carried
Resolved that Mr Jacobs take charge of the Office on Monday July 20th and the late Clerk to have books & other matters adjusted by the end of the month.
Motor House Mr Phillips, Solicitor, representing Mr Dockett's Estate waited on the Council & explained that the Motor House on the roadway was the property of Mr Hughes & requested more time for removal. Cr OShanahan Pro } That the time allowed be Cr Morgan Sec } extended until end of November next on Condition that Mr Hughes provides the Council with an indemnity against accident in the meantime. Carried.
