Minutes of Meeting held 21/7/05 Election The Returning Officer Reported that Mr J.D. Bruce had been Elected for the Lincoln Ward & Mr E.J. Barraud unopposed for Tumby Ward. Mr Samuel Brougham unopposed for Auditor _ Election Moved by Cr Puckridge } That Mr Bruce be of Seconded by Cr OShanahan } Chairman for ensuing Chairman Term carried _ Minutes of Last Meeting read & confirmed Balance Sheet for General Main Road & Wire Netting a/c read _ Auditors Report read. Moved by the chairman } That Balance Seconded by Cr OShanahan } sheets be adopted as Read _ carried _ Address The Chairman thanked the Councillors for again electing him Chairman for ensuing term & hoped they would have the same confidence in him at the end of the term as they have at the Present _ The Chairman then gave a short outline of the improvements that had been done during the past 12 months viz. Foot Paths Street lighting & improvements to the Post Office & suggested that a sinking fund should be in some way formed in order to build a Dist Council Office on the ground reserved for that purpose, as the present office & the Lease is fast expiring. The report re Sanitary arrangements (Pan System) was read by Secretary having been obtained from Port Augusta & suggested that serious consideration

Minutes of Meeting 21st July Contd should be entertained for the instalation of same. & the Town should be inspected in the interest of the Health as recommended by the Board of Health _ Post Office Moved by Cr Puckridge Seconded by Cr OShanahan that Clerk wire to Mr Poynton and ask to be allowed to put in Post Office an extra delivery window at the cost £1 _
Financial Statement read by Chairman Surveyor Letter from S.G. stating Julia Roberts netting General could not be granted as she is not an occupier or Leasee within the meaning of the act. Sec 1 being a water Reserve _
Marine Letter from Secretary of Marine Board stating Board that E. in C had let a contract to have work done at Louth Bay. Chairman reported he had a sketch prepared & sent on recommended by this Council for certain improvements at a probable cost of £70_ but no reply had been made as yet. Letter & form from Taxation Office. Recd AH Inkster MP had been nominated _ Circular from Norwich & London Accident Co Recd C.L. O/- stating that £400 had been paid into Bank of Australia for MR Purposes C.L. O/- Stating that £900 had was paid to Councils credit & £100 Special Grant was available when vouchers had been sent to Audit Office Charitable Moved by Cr Puckridge } that £1_1_0 be Seconded by Cr Barraud } donated to Childrens Hospital Adelaide carried

Letter from Cabot stating he had removed Three trees that had fallen on Road Moved by Cr O'Shanahan } That Cabot be Seconded by Cr Barraud } paid 7/6 carried Marine Board asking if Council will erect shed at Tumby _ Clerk to reply stating that this Council declines to have anything to do in the matter_ Letter from Chas Brown recd _ re gates etc Clerk to reply _ Letter from Morgan & Sons _ re rates Moved by Cr OShanahan } That Morgan be Seconded by Cr Puckridge } informed that this Council cannot make any rebate and if not paid Bal. by 7 days Legal proceeding be issued _ carried Letter from W.J.
