Minutes of District Council Meeting held 17th June 1922 Present Jas O'Shanahan (in the chair) Crs Morgan, McFarlane, Simes, Puckridge & Hall

Minute of previous meeting read and confirmed.

Financial Statement submitted & read Elections There being no more than the required number nominated for Councillor & auditor the following gentlemen were duly declared elected for Councillors W T Morgan, Warrow Ward, O A Hall, Mortlock Ward, For Auditor O Blackman. E H Beckwith Returning Officer.

Correspondence Sections 36/8 and 62/3 Wanilla Notification from the Secretary for Lands informing Clerk that application to transer Sections 36/8 Hd Wanilla & 62/3 Hd Wanilla, had been received, & asked what instalments were due for Vermin Loans. Reply sent 15/6/22 all paid.

Sections 47/8 Wanilla From the same office informing Clerk that application to transfer sections 47/8 Hd Wanilla had been received & asked what instalments were due on Vermin loans. Reply sent 31/5/22 all paid.

Water Reserve No 5 Hd Kiana Letter from the Secretary for Lands to inform Clerk that Water Reserve No 5 Hd Kiana had been resumed in order that it might be dealt with as Crown Lands.

Wire netting Acknowledgement from Secretary for Lands for Cheque for £335 on a/c wire netting instalments due.

Fencing Loan Letter from the Secretary for Lands to inform Clerk that £40, Loan under the Loans for fencing act, had been paid to the Councils credit, on the petition of W H. P. LeBrun.

Cemetery near Mt Hope Letter from the Secy for lands, informing Clerk that a Cemetery had been surveyed in the Hd of Kiana, requested to know prior to dedication, if the Council wished same to be placed under its care control (management). Resolved that the Clerk write to the Secy Lands saying that the Council take same under its management. Alteration No Councillors Lincoln Ward. Notification from the Secy Local Govt Dept to say that notice of the Petition praying for Number of Crs for Lincoln Ward to be reduced had been published in the "Gazette"of the 18th inst.

Govt Grants A/c Memorandum from the Accountant Local Govt Dept that £295 final instalment of Main Road Grant had been placed to the Council's credit at the Bank of A/sia.

Dist Councils Assn. Circular from Secretary District Councils Association in reference subscription to same Resolved £2/2/- be sent.

Instalments Wire Netting E & T Ward Letter from Messrs E & T Ward regarding wire netting instalments due.

S A Wheat Harvest Bd Letter from the the Secy S A Wheat Harvest Bd regarding their vacating property in August next.

Machine Gun Letter received from Town Clerk refering to Machine Gun at Goods Shed Pt Lincoln. Corporation having taken over same.

Leases & Agreements in Municipal Area Letter from Town Clerk requesting Council to hand over any agreements in Leases or other lands within the Town. Same to be handed over.

Block 20 Hd Mortlock Letter from Mr W D Tonkin in reference to Blk 2o Hd Mortlock & rates on same.

Immigration Dept. Letter received from the State Immigration Officer regarding "British Boy Welfare" & boys apprentices being sent to this District.

Uniform Railway Guage Circular received in reference to uniform railway guage. Reply to be sent the Council favours the alteration for uniform gauges . Carried.

Petition Proper Rd Hd Lincoln. Petition received for road along Proper Bay Hd Lincoln to be repaired. Moved that £30 be spent repairing same.

Mr C H Atkinson to be written to obtain his consent to Williams Bros Application for loan of £48.2.6 under the Loans for fencing act. Mr J Durdins petition to be forwarded.

Adjustment netween D/C & Corporation for Assests of the District Moved by Cr Hall that this Council stands definitely on the adjustment of assests as made by the Officer sent by the Local Government Department. Any difference in the valuation of assets between the District Council & Corporation, to be left in the hands of the Chairman and responsible officers for adjustment. 2nd by Simes & carried..
