District Council of Lincoln Minutes of meeting held 19th June 1926. Present Crs O'Shanahan (Chairman) Simes, Puckridge, Hall, Morgan.

Elections Returning Officer stated the following nominations were received for Warrow Ward, W T Morgan, Mortlock Ward, W H Siviour, Auditor, O Blackman. These gentlemen were all elected unopposed.

Financial Statement submitted.

Lands & Survey Notice received from the secretary that T A Lloyd had applied to surrender section 40 Hd Mortlock.

Lands & Survey Letter received re Loans applied for by Mrs N Anderson.

Clerk to write asking, if the Council appproved of the Loan, would the Supt Soldiers Settlements guarantee the repayments of principal & interest.

Petition received from the residents Hd Uley to have road repaired.

Reply to be sent no funds available for the work at present.

Corporation of Port Lincoln Letter from the Town CLerk stating noxious weed known as St John's Wort is growing in great profusion on Mr H C Wollaston's Land situated on the New West Road, & asking that this Council take steps to have same destroyed. Overseer to inspect. Notice to be sent Mr Wollaston to destroy. Corporation to be informed that matter is being attended to.

Road in front of Cummins Post Office Letter received from the Director, Local Govt Department, advising he had been notified water had been allowed to accumulate in front of this building, & access to it was impossible.This Council had made no attempt to provide either a roadway or footpath in front of the building.

Reply to be sent the work of making a footpath, & repairing the road is being carried out.

W Habner Letters received from Mr Habner asking for payment 4 chains of rubbling @ £2 per chain. The matter to be investigated & amounts actually paid to be ascertained.

District Council of Minippa Letter from the Clerk in further reference to proposed conference of District Councils on Eyre's Peninsula. Moved by Cr Hall all the members of this Council attend the meeting. 2nd Cr Morgan. Carried

Cr Simes appointed as delegate with the Chairman to attend the meeting on the 28th inst.

Elder Smith & Co Ltd Letter received re prices & discount for fencing Loans, & Vermin Loans.

Gamblings Letter from Secretary re Pipes consigned by them in error to Tumby Bay Council.

Minda Home Letter from the Secretary asking for annual subscription by this Council.

Petition received from ratepayers of the District asking that the road leading westerly from Kapinnie Hall to the Main West Road be repaired.

Moved by Cr Puckridge that the scrub on either side be rolled & the worst ruts filled in. Carried.
