Meeting of Council held June 20th 1902 Present Cr Dorward (Chair) Bruce & Barraud Minutes of last Meeting read & confirmed. Financial Statement read by Chairman Cr Bruce prop Cr Barraud sec that the Clerk be empowered to lay freight & tolls on Wire Netting which was coming by "Stormbird" and to have all power to enforce payment of Freight & Tolls from receivers. (Carried) Correspondence. D McKenzie Esq. stating that Council could make a by-law to have two or more Voting places in each ward. Cr Barraud prop Cr Bruce sec that the Surveyor General be written to for full information as to Wire netting supplied by Government also amount now due by Council and asking for detailed a/c in each case. (Carried) Letter from Varley & Evan giving Council advice re who is liable for Wire netting obtained by the Late Mrs Sullivan and advising Council must sue present occupier of land. Also re sale of allotments asking for information as to what steps they should take re allotments gazetted for sale for unpaid rates printing out difficulty in going to work on said allotments. Cr Bruce prop Cr Barraud sec that the Clerk lay on the table next meeting names of all owners who have not paid rates for a few years and any other information he can obtain.

Cr Barraud prop Cr Bruce sec that Overseer have ruts etc done by Daymen from near W Browns to Yarandale Store and to report at next Meeting on work asked to be done by Simmons and Ahmoy. Carried Cr Barraud prop Cr Doirward sec that the costs re Mrs E Thorpes Summons for netting be not paid out of Council A/c.
