Correspondence Letter from SA Wattle League re formation of a branch received Road Grader Letters from Norman & Co re purchase of Road Grader Deferred until next meeting Varley & Evans Letters from Varley & Evans re alteration in the appointment of Councils Solicitors Cr Hartley } That Messrs Varley & Evans be Cr O'Shanahan } informed that this Council has arranged with Messrs Joyner Shepperd & Phillips to represent them in all legal matters with the exception of the Louth Road Deviation which is at present incomplete Carried Cummins Pound Letter from MB Walkom re Pound Deferred until Overseer's report read Cuddefords Cheque Letter from Varley & Evans re Cuddeford's Cheque Cr OShanahan } That Mr Cuddeford be paid Cr Hartley } another Cheque if legal advise re same be favorable to such being done. Carried Letter from Mr Radford re refunding Wire Netting charges already paid Request cannot be entertained

Charlton Road Petition from Ratepayers in Louth re Charlton Road Cr O'Shanahan } That the matter be referred to the Cr Morgan } Main Roads Commission Carried Cummins Lights Letter from Progress Committee at Cummins re Lights Cr Hartley } That the request for two lights be Cr Morgan } granted on the same condition as the previous one. Carried Private Members Business Main Road Drains Cr O'Shanahan requested that the drains on the Main Road from Poonindie outward be cleaned out Sec by Cr Hartley Carried Cr Hartley asked if the drain had been completed on Meers Contract. Overseer reported Yes

Cooper Gravel Cr O'Shanahan requested that W Cooper be paid for gravel on Bernards incompleted contract in Louth. Resolved that Cooper must present an order from Bernard before such a request can be entertained.

Lighting Rotunda Cr Hartley requested that an estimate of cost be obtained for lighting Rotunda To be obtained for next meeting St Johns Weed Cr Hartley requested that the overseer be instructed to attend to the destruction of St Johns Weed Cr OShanahan } That an experiment be tried with Cr Hartley } 2 or 3 cwt. of salt. Carried

Overseer's report read Tasman Fence Cr OShanahan } That a fence be erected in Cr Morgan } Tasman Terrace consisting of 6 x 3 Jarrah posts, & 1½ inch Gal Iron piping To be done by day labor under the direction of the overseer. Carried Cr Hartley. Proposed that a Kerb & footpath be formed. Lost

Cummins Cr OShanahan } That the Council are not prepared Pound Cr Morgan } to build a pound at Cummins but are willing to pay ₤2.10.0 per year Rent for suitable yards for the purpose Carried Sleaford Road Cr Hartley } that 20 chains of the worst portion Cr Bruce } of the road to Sleaford be metalled .Carried Cr O'Shanahan } That the overseers report be Cr Hartley } adopted with the above exceptions

Contracts Cr O'Shanahan } that Contract 157 be let Cr Morgan } to KW Slater @ 2/6 per chain & Contract No. 158 to E Meers for all the gravel for Maintenance @ 2/6 per yd. Carr Cr Bruce reported that Mr D Davies had been removing material from the Roadway Overseer instructed to Notify Mr Davies not to continue doing so

Inspector Weights & Measures Cr OShanahan } that the Clerk be appointed Cr Hartley } Inspector of Weights & Measures @ 2/2/- year. Carried Short weight Clerk was instructed to obtain legal Bread adise to selling of short weight Bread.

Wire Netting Report Clerk presented to the Council in Committee a report upon the Wire Netting showing a balance sheet of Assets & Liabilities. Also a statement showing that the total income from 1914 Instalments amounted to over £80 less than the amount required to pay the Government for 1914 Instalments This being accounted for by the necessity of paying annual instalments to the Government on the amount of supplies not returned and the amount of Balances of Loans received from the Petitioners & not returned to Government.
