Minutes of Meeting held Council office on March 21st. 1902

Present Cr. Dorward (Chair) Bruce, Barraud Puckridge & O'Shanahan. Minutes read & confirmed of last meeting. Cr O'Shanahan prop Cr. Puckridge seconded that Clerk issue notices that he will visit certain centers at dates to be arranged to receive rates & wire netting installments and rent of roads, and if not paid proceeding to be taken to recover same without further notices Warrow April 2nd. Wangary April 3rd Lipson April 7th Tumby Post Office April 8th. between the hours of 12 to 4 each day - Carried. Correspondence Letter Recd from C.C. Lands stating that no money can be obtained for construction purposes the grant being absorbed - Received.

Letter recd from Messes Varly & Evan re leased Roads and advising that letter (copy of same enclosed) be sent to each person who has not leased Roads letter from same firm explaining the reason why the Council lost the information for Rabits & Roads Cr Puckridge prop. Puckridge Sec that Clerk issue notices as per Varley & Evans advice against persons not leasing roads Carried Copy of Letter To Mr. Dear Sir I am instructed by my Council to communicate with you concerning the Closed roads which you leased and paid the rent for to the Council up to the day of My Council desires me to write and ask you if you intend to renew your lease and pay the rent of such roads for the year ending the day of 1902. My Council will be glad of an early reply as in the event of your deciding not to renew your lease then they must in the interest of the Council take such further Action in the matter as is provided by Law. & Not by telegram - Carried Circular Rec'd from Deaf & Dumb Institution & Paragretta House asking for Subscription Cr Bruce pro Cr Puckridge Sec that £ 1-1-0 be forward Carried letter from E.W Swaffer Asking permission to put Veranda over foot path on Tasman Terrace Cr Puckridge pro Cr Barraud Sec'd the request be granted Carried Cr Puckridge pro Cr Bruce Sec'd that the Clerk write and ask if the Wire netting aproved of by this Council during January & February have reached their office. If not Clerk to send on aplications and order as soon as possible & to print out that the Netting is urgently required & ship per boat leaving Port Adelaide not later than fourteen day's hence Carried Cr Barraud gave Notice that he would move at the next meeting that in future all specifications for Tenders be issued fourteen days before Council day's
