Financial Statement read by Chairman. Letter from Millard RIdgway Flavel & others Letter from Megaw Bros re application for Wire Netting & Leasing Roads _ Application form have been sent on. Road to be leased subject to report by Overseer, The motion was moved by Cr Puckridge Seonded by Cr Scott. Car Moved by Cr Puckridge } that all rate must be paid Seconded by Cr Scott } at once. Car Letter Rec'd from Sur Gen re 5/- Exchange. Exchange to be sent on. Letter from S G stating that Cemetery had been reserved at Mortlock. C.L. Office stating that in reply to deputation of Chairman £200 had been granted as Special Grant for Maintenance of M Roads in District Estimate of Cold tar recd from Geddes & Co. Letter from Varley & Evan Recd. Letter from Marine Board re Louth Bay Jetty Sand drift & suggested that Marrum Grass be planted. Moved by Cr Puckridge } that O.S. Report on same Seconded by Cr Scott } by next meeting _ Car C.L. Office stating that Simpson & Sons were the successful Tenderers for Dog Discs. Minutes Contd 21/5/09 Wire Recd from S. G Lands Office re vouchers for 1200, The vouchers have already been sent on Letter from K S Brown re washaway. Letter from Messrs Warren & Collegu _ stating that they thought the grant would be about £1,000 for the new Hds Letter from Dunstan & Co re Tar paving _ sending Sample which are on view. It was resolved that the matter be left over pending a further report from same firm _ Estimates to be obtained for continuing foot paths from Chapel to Railway Station also from Corner of Adelaide Place to Blythe Street. Baut Rotunda Estimate considered_ Meeting of Ratepayers to be held in 2 weeks time to consider the best way of raising the necessary funds _ The road near the Grand Hotel visited & it was decided to make certain improvements to same.
