Meeting of Council held Feb 22nd, 1907 Present Crs Dorward (Chairman) Bruce Dutton & O'Shanahan Minutes of last meeting read & confirmed Financial Statements read by Chairman Correspondence Surveyor Generals office stating that 1/2% claimed by Council for prompt payment of wire netting installments would be credited to future installments. Cr Dutton proposed Cr O'Shanahan seconded That members for district be written to asking them to try and get amount sent down at once Carried Same office stating that all wire netting applications granted except those received Feby 18th - Cr Bruce proposed Cr O'Shanahan seconded that Clerk write asking for return of envelope containing J Shepperd & others applications for wire netting Carried Crown Lands Office advising that Councils portion M R grant for current year was £1431/-/Same office advising that 3rd Installment a/c M R grant £250 paid to Councils credit telegram from Lord Tennyson that he would send condolences of Council & residents to the King & Royal Family

Petition from Messrs RE Sullivan and others asking Council to take some steps to enable owners of allotments purchased at Council Sale for arrears of rates, to obtain a title Cr Bruce proposed Cr OShanahan Secd That petitions be sent on to Varley & Evans asking what steps can be taken to comply with request of petitioners also what councils costs in the matter would be. Clerk to notify petitioners. Carried Yaranyacka & Tumby Farmers Association asking for additional landing room at Tumby Jetty also repairs through Section 820 Hd Hutchinson Cr Dutton prop Cr Bruce seconded that 'Members for district' be written to asking them to assist Council in having landing made larger by interviewing the for on the matter. Carried Cr Dutton proposed Cr Bruce seconded that tenders be called for work near Tumby Jetty remainder to be done by daymen from JM Litchfield asking permission to erect office near Jetty Pt Lincoln Cr Bruce proposed Cr Shanahan seconded That permission be granted Chairman & Cr Bruce to fix position. Carried

Letter from H Thorpe Jr forwarding a/c due him for wages by I Halls Jr (Received) AH Wollaston forwarding a/c for compensation for removing fence & Severance at Lake Hamilton Clerk to reply Council do not recognize any further claim & to hunt up all papers concerning same in case needed. Carried Cr Bruce brought forward his notice of motion to rescind resolution deciding to have bondsment to tenders and proposed that a deposit (by cheque or cash) of 5% accompany tenders in lieu of the bondsmen as at present Carried Cr Bruce proposed Cr Dutton seconded that a full detailed statement of work done near J Browns at Tumby be laid on the table at next meeting and that all day work be posted up giving number of days & price per day and ruled off when paid Carried Cr Dutton proposed Cr OShanahan seconded that the rabbit question be adjourned to next full meeting and for replies from Elliston & Franklin Harbour Council Carried Cr OShanahan proposed Cr Bruce seconded overseer have well at Louth Bay attended to Carried Cr N Dutton tendered his resignation as poundkeeper at section 31 Hd Hutchison accepted

Cr Bruce proposed Cr Dutton seconded overseers report with alterations be adopted. Carried Cr OShanahan proposed Cr Dutton seconded That balance of contract thrown up by I Halls Jr be paid to his bondsmen Messrs RM McFarlane & G Crawford on the understadning that in event of the Council having acted illegally they will refund same - Messrs McFarlane & Crawford agreeing to above the motion was Carried
