About

Oriana Diary
Elizabeth Greer, traveled on board the SS ORIANA in 1965, recording her experiences her diary. Travelling alone from Southampton to Australia, Elizabeth wrote daily and concise entries of her life as a passenger on board. She included details about her roommates and the friends she had made on board as well as her daily interactions with other passengers. She also wrote about the weather, the food and the activities she participated in. Additionally, Elizabeth mentions the different ports and exotic places that the ORIANA had stopped by and her thoughts on these locations. However, Elizabeth also talks of the negative parts of her trip; her seasickness, sunburn and one of her annoying roommates who snored as she slept.
