Lucy Harris Travel Diary 1897
This diary forms part of the extensive John and Amelia Harris Family fonds held by the Archives and Special Collections. George Harris, Lucy (his wife), and children Ronald and Milly go on extended World Tour in 1897-1898. This is the only travel diary of Lucy Harris where she chronicles their travels beginning October 25 to Dec 1897 while visiting Japan and Hong Kong. Milly Harris also compiled travel diaries of her journey which are already transcribed. She also took many photographs of the trip. This photo shown is of Lucy, Milly and George in Nara, Japan.
