Gentlemen: Some months ago we wrote you in reference to a proposed sale of the log book of the Confederate cruiser "Shenandoah", and learned in reply that the member of your firm who had charge of the Alabama and similar claims was at that time out of the city - but that upon his return the matter should receive his attention.
