Respected friend A few days since Dennis & Scott of Baltimore, addressed Lorne Snow desiring to communicate with parties representing the Alabama Claims - C N Clifford answered the letter, which brought from them the letter which C N C incloses to thee this day.

Now it is possible that the valuations made by them in the Logbook may be of service in proving claims, as they may be higher than valuations made by us-

PS. A letter from Barling & Davis of the 1st inst is just at hand stating that C C Beaman arrived on Wednesday, and had gone East to visit his parents, and would call at N Bedford next week.

C N C. retains a copy of the letter for C C Beaman - Keep in mind the importance of any early visit to N York.
