For release Wednesday, A.M., June 28, 1944. Statement by Mr. Stinebaugh. In accepting the position as superintendent of schools, Mr. Stinebaugh made the following statement: "I am deeply appreciative of the great honor bestowed upon me by the Board of School Commisioners and I shall do my utmost to discharge faithfully the duties of superintendent of schools. "I have a feeling of great humility because I recognize my own personal limitations. Certainly it is not to be expected that any individual could bear this burden alone. It is my sincere hope that I can enlist the full cooperation of all members of the staff and that through our united efforts we shall be able to maintain the high standards which have been established by the illustrious leaders of the past, both immediate and distant, to the end that the public schools will continue to serve to the highest degree the educational needs of this community."
