out of the, comparitivly very small, part of Austria and Hungary, where they had set foot, but we now occupy nearly all Russian Poland and other parts. It is wonderfull to see how our country bears the hardships of war. A stranger coming here, would not see any difference to other times, only you see more men in uniform and wounded soldiers.

Next Wednesday it shall be a year that the first wounded soldiers came to our little hospital at Eberhard,

since that day we have had 135 soldiers there, it is full now, there are 22 beds and I suppose we shall have to go on nursing for some time.

We are all quite well. Marika who is nearly quite grown up, is a very good nurse. All our women work as much as they can, the time of war is a good school for them.
