I think 'The children and Mdlle Remy wish
to be remembered by you' is even more appropriate than 'The children and Mdlle Remy wish
to be remembered to you'.

I appreciate the comment - I thought about that too. But I think the phrase "be remembered to" has more a sense of sending greetings to someone, and is period appropriate (although it is still used in formal greetings by some individuals in the UK). The thing that swayed me most though is that I don't think the second letter is a "y" so I went with "to."
