we shall have the great pleasure of seeing you and your God-daughter at Eberhard.

Having had a severe attack of influenza some time ago, I must still take care not to catch cold and not to overfatigue myself, and so, to my great regret, I cannot go to Rome. I am awfully sorry, it shall be so interesting there. Miss [Rosenbey?] and several other ladies are going.

to thank you for the interesting book you sent me and the one you sent the children, because I was not sure if you were still in America, or in Europe. We remain in town till about the 25th of May, and then go to Eberhard. Are you coming to Vienna after Rome? And when can we expect your visit at Eberhard? I hope you will come for a longer stay, than last year. Don't quite forget me at Rome,
