4 Nordstr. Zoppot a Danzig. Prussia. 24.3.93.
Dear Madam!
Frau Heidfeld charges me to tell you that she is fully appreciating the honour of having been appointed member of the Congress of Representative Women, that she has got the invitation and printed material you sent to her and wants me to express her thanks to you and the President of the Committee. Unfortunately Frau Heidfeld is not able to come and see your great exhibition, country and women.

But I shall come, my dear, dear Madam. I shall come thanks to you, to your kindness, your dear letter. I am awfully glad and so very thankful to you, that you have asked me to come, that you liked the subject I proposed and thought me worthy of delivering an address on the Marriage Prospects of the Modern Woman. But most of all I thank you for having understood my letter and its craving for the great life of America.
Please tell me in what language you want the address to be delivered.

English, German or French. No doubt when I come to Chicago I shall have the privilege of meeting you there, and I shall try to thank you more fully than I can now. But for your invitation and sympathy I should never have come. Now I got your letter, I shall gather all I have, the money I put aside for bad times; I am at least proud I should have earned it myself.-
When do you expect the foreign delegates to come? Will you please let me know that too. For I think I still may get an

answer from you, before on April 23rd or April 30th I leave Europe.
Please present my compliments to Mrs. Potter-Palmer and Mrs. Charles Henrotin.
As to you, dear Madam, you know that I am most
Sincerely
Yours
Kaethe Schirmacher.
