Dear Mrs. Sewall:

I should certainly accept your kind invitation to be at the reception on Wednesday if I were to be in Indianapolis at that time. But unfortunately the Jublie Conference on Dec. 7 & 8 comes just at the time of our Suffrage Bazar.

So I cannot attend it, but shall [?] be present at the meeting of the Business [?]. on Saturday.

I hope you saw that we got in the report of the great reception the Indianapolis women gave you, though we were a little late about it.

In haste, sincerely Alice Stone Blackwell
