My dear Mrs Sewll,

The other note is business this is a word of friendship all under one stamp, saving you see for the cause, at my side sits Mrs. Johns as busy as she can be with the affairs of state. She keeps well and so do I, but she tried to plan a campaign to kill us both.

prohibitionists drunk up so much mater that they can hear any amount of it, your people would be [drowned?] Rachel's baby is lovely she is dark and you know she is my baby that is they call her mine and I am the sponsor for her. I hope she may live to be a comfort to her mother. We have two weeks more of work in Kansas, then I have a week in Missouri on my way home to see my dear old mother who has been ill.

I suppose every thing is flourishing at the Sewell Mansion and school, and that the two heads are both well. Please remember me kindly to Mr. Sewell, Sincerely Anna H Shaw
