My dear Madam,

When you asked me to come over to Chicago for the Womens Congress I had no chance of coming - now I am here, everything of [?] dont [?] over - came with Prof von Helmholtz who came as a delegate of our Gover't to an electrical congress - and am going away [?] 2 weeks either for Colorado or Yellowstone I am afraid I shall not
