SUTTNER, BARONESS BERTHA VON SEPT 20, 1897

Harmannsdorf Sept 20th 1897

Madam.

I have forwarded your letter to Mm Irma Troll Borostgam Salzburg, who is a prominent leader of the feministic women in Austria and therefore better able than myself to give you the information you desire. I am so fuly occupied with the International Peace movement, that I must necessarily keep aloof from every other work, however much I may sympathize with it.

I will only, at haphazard, communicate a few facts to you, which may be useful for you to know - if you do not know them already.

A confederation of german women's societies, [?] 60,000 members, visits in Bremen, Germany. President Mrs. [?] Hoffmann. Bremen Tobben 28 A

That lady was present at our last peace congress Hamburg August 12-16 and represented there this confederation, as adherring to the peace principles.

Another confederation of all Italian women's clubs had asked me to represent them at the congress. President Mm Doctor Paola Schiff. Milan

Believe me, dear Madam, yours very sincerely Baroness Bertha v. Suttner
