Full Text: Tarkington, Booth July 29, 1919 Seawood Kennebunkport, Maine July 29, 1919 Dear Mrs. Sewall: Over three weeks ago I wired Mr. Howland waging a decision about your MS. I haven't heard from him. I suggest that you write him a wire (Mr. H.H. Howland, Bobbes-Merrill Co. Indianapolis) and hint that you can wait no longer. I am [...] [...] [...] with Harper just now: my friend in that field died last winter; you're with-drawing from them and they are not pleased. I have had a talk with the Appleton literary adviser about your MS -- he was much interested, and if the result of pressure in the B-M people is a negative decision, I suggest Appleton as a next reader. I hope your improvement determines a well proceed at a [...] accelerating pace. With all good wishes, Faithfully yours, Booth Tarkington
