Dear Mrs. Sewall:
Over three weeks ago I wired Mr. Howland urging a decision about your [?]. I haven't heard from him. I suggest that you write him a note (Mr. H.H. Howland, BobbsMerrill Co. Indianapolis) and hint that you can wait no longer.
I am [personace?] now [quatce?] with Harpers just now; my fiend in that firm died last winter; you withdrawing from them and they are not pleased. I have had

a talk with the Appleton literary adviser about your [?] - he was much interested, and if the result of pressure on the B-M people is a negative decision, I suggest Appleton as a next reader.
I hope your improvement continues & will proceed at a [?] accelerating pace.
