My dear Mrs. Sewall:
I am very sorry to be missing the meetings of the Board of Directors of the Contemporary Club, but our stay here is progracted, and prevents me from assuming even the slight share of the work and responsibility that would fall to me.
I have promised Mrs. Russell Palmer to forward to you a circular concering Mrs. Harry -Baker's readings. I know nothing more than that she is very notably "recommended"; but perhaps some other of the Directors may have further information about her readings. The circular seems rather attractive to me.

Their terms for her ar $75.00; and she pays her own expenses.
Possibly you have already filled all [?] dates, which would make it useless to bring the matter up. I particularly congratulate all of us upon the pleasure it must prove to have Prof Bliss Perry.
Sincerely yours, Newton Booth Tarkington
(Pray forgive my half-Mrs. Jameson and have-Culver City stationary.)
