SMEDLEY, CONSTANCE SEPT 19 1902?

Sept 19th 02

Dear Mrs. Sewall

Please dont apologise - I am sure you had too much to think of to remember the Lyceum and I don't like speaking in public either - so I never thought of it at that lunch.

I am sending you an account of our American "lunch' and other papers about the club. Miss Hazard and Miss Woolley are going to organize a Boston El. Com. to elect members and Dr. Brayton of Chicago has gone home to organize one there - While I hope Mrs. Johnson will join with Miss Gilder and Miss Gill in forming one in New York.

greatest need.

We are doing wonders here with betting commissions for our memebers from all parts of the world.

I am coming to America in February or March as Miss Gill, Miss Hazard & Miss Woolley strongly advise it. They are going to pave the way by giving publicity to the club & organizing the committees

also by arranging my visit for me & taking care of me when I come. They all stayed for some time at the club and I saw a great deal of them.

We thank you very much for your offer of the Council literature - we should be deeply grateful for it. With kindest regards and many things for all your great kindness

Yours Sincerely

Constance Smedley
