Dear Mrs. Sewall:

On my way to the station from your house I met a strange man who informed me he heard my lecture at the Contemporary Club - and this man made slighting and slurring remarks about one "Jake Dunn" - because said Jacob knew not the gold of silence. And this man chortled softly and said, "But didn't Mrs. Sewall apply the snippers to him gracefully - oh, that was good!"

I'm sorry now I did not get the strange man's name but I give you the facts and egad! The facts are the things we are after. (over)

2 I think of you often and bright cheery ways; and it occurs to me as I write that no man has a right to be cheery until his hair is white and sorrow has pierced his heart but I may be wrong.

Mrs. Hubbard joins me in love to you. Ever and always

Yours Sincerely Elbert Hubbard

PS Several subscriptions I see this morning from Indianapolis, so the seed was sown in good soil. I enclose a picture or two of Katharine.
