International Council of Women, October 6th 99

I was prevented ending this hurried letter by my part of the work for receiving the members of the [Brintalist's?] Congress just going on in Rome. We have receptions and excursions besides the daily work of two meetings - morning & afternoon. However I am going to write at once to Mrs. Brown Talbot and try to send a first article about our work in Italy. I thank you for having so kindly ? ? her in it and for so sweetly sympathizing in my [material?] joys. I do wish to have you meet my dear children and wish to see you soon in Italy.
