My dear Mrs Sewall:

As far reflection I find that my note to you was rather indefinite.

I am going to my sister's on Tuesday to remain a week or ten days; at any rate I shall be back on the 22- and will hold my self in readiness to ac [ceptt?] your [invitation?] at any time most convenient to yourself. I am rejoiced

dreadful deaths. It does seem at times as though there were an inexplicable [fapatil?] in the fortunes and misfortunes of families.
