My dear Mrs. Sewall -

2/ had [?] invited to the house of a Mrs. Bray in Philadelphia. The environment proved so congruial that Mrs. Bray was anxious to have her remain and offered her a permanent home there, which she decided to accept, but her appreciation of your goodness was none the less sincere, and she particularily requested me to thank you most cordially for your kindess and [?]

how well I have done it! Alas, Mrs. Sewall for the [?] of a mission I am really entirely ashamed of myself for delaying the matter so indefinitely and trust that you will acquit me of ingratitude [?] for my appreciation of your kindly interest in Marie is [?] the less ? than her own.
