Your favor of February 9. I have received and read and have carefully considered all you say. I am happy to hear from you again, and admire your continued enthusiasm in your thought to benefit mankind. I am glad to tell you that Dr. Isaac ?. Headland and wife are now in America. Their address is Butler, PA. They have been in China for many eyars. Dr. Headland as Prof. in Peking Universityand Mrs. Headland a practicing physician among the chinese. given much of my experperience in my "Letter from China" and I do not know how to add anyhing of much value to this letter. Her Imperial Majesty - The ? Dowager - and several of her court-ladies are gone now, and how much of this Rule differs from the former I do not know. I am not acquainted with our American Minister to China and the Diplomatic Corps has [underline] entirely [end underline] changed since we left the far East. I am told also, great departure from the old customs are made and the foreigner customs are modifying these. I sincerely pray that your trip to China may be of value to you and to the Chinese -
