Mrs. May Wright Sewall, Chairman of Committee of Arrangement for a World's Congress of Representative Women, Indianapolis, Indiana.

Madam: I have recieved you letter of the 10th instant, with accompanying copies of correspondence in the matter of your invitation to the Government of Germany, with a view to secure the naming of two of its representative women to attend a World's Congress of Representative Women to be held coincident with the World's Columbbian Exposition at Chicago and as a part of the World's Congress Auxiliary.

Mr. Phelps, the minister of the United State at Berlin, who has lately returned

returned to his post, has been directed to acquaint the Minister for Forign Affairs with you wishes in this matter.
