Mrs. May Wright-Sewall, Indianapolis, Ind.,
My Dear Mrs. Sewall:-

I cannot with any politeness say that I regret that I have placed all my time in Indianapolis in the hands of mt friend W.C. Bobbs of the Bowen-Merrill Company, for I did it with malice [present?]. I do not know that he has any arrangements for the afternoon and evening you speak of, and I shall be in Indianapolis for a day or two and shall be very happy if he can spare me for any time that you suggest. as he says while I am in Indianapolis. So you will understand why I am compelled to make this explanation before accepting your very thoughtful and I am sure, courteous invitation. I have this day written Mr. Bobbs telling him of your request and asking him to comunicate with you.
Very truly yours, W.A. White
