Founder and editor of English "Review of Reviews." Nominated for the Nobel Prize for Peace in 1903. Devoted himself to international peace and friendship with Russia. During the later part of his life he became interested in the occult. He went down with the Titanic while on his way to speak at the Great Men and Religion Forward Movement in Carnegie Hall.
