My dear Mrs. Sewall,
As I am not preaching next Sunday night (Mrs. Snowden is preaching for me) I shall be able to go out in the afternoon. I will therefore be at the opening meeting, and it will be well for me to preach a word of welcome – to make the Congress free of the church, etc. So please allow a few minutes to me.
I have wired Mr. Bryan releasing him on the grounds that Wednesday at the Festival Hall is more important. Please keep a platform ready for me on that night.
Ever sincerely,
Charles F. Aked

Dear Mrs. May Wright Sewell
I enclose a memo which I am sending out to the members of the I. C. W. Executive under standing order 6 of the Executive & hope you will approve of the action I am taking. There are so many difficulties in the way of a meeting of the Executive this year that this seems to be the plan with least objections. Kindly let me know if you agree.
Yours sincerely [?] Aberdeen [?]
