Monday 17 Nothing of consequence has occurred this day.
Tues 18 Much as yesterday. Studying astronomy. Which I
find very [hard?]; this and [dialing?] makes think quite
often of home.
Wednesday 19 The same thing today as yesterday. At evening half
past eight went to [Mr?] Shapley room for the
purpose of walking with him the [?] night.
I found him [surprisingly?] emaciated, almost a skeleton,
he seemed [low?] [?] and his haggard countenance
a sad moment of human weakness. [During?] the
night & day [front?] of [volumes] of Tristam Shandy
& one of Mrs Rattcliffe novels. Slept none.
Thursday 20 Most [?] sleepy in the morning lay down, but
[sleep?] is [?] college in daytime. - Afternoon
went to Boston, found that my things were [?]
at [Battles?], also found a letter from [Kezia?], this [?]
was [sufficient?] & recompense me for the trouble of
walking to Boston.
Friday 21 Nothing worth mention. At evening at the theatre,
in company with Holbrook and Shaw, saw the [Tour?].

Fry 21 Equinoctial storm, snowed violently, the wind was how-
ever in our backs.
Sat 22 Nothing save the storm.
Sunday 23 In the fore noon stormed some, in the afternoon less

tle of wine of Roggers to be drunk tomorrow at the
dinner given to our class by those, who have parties

Tuesday 25 At 2 O"clock PM our class mett at Porters Tavern to
