Abstract of Records of Deeds
Voted, that the Secretary, under the direction
of the President, shall cause to be prepared for the
use of the Boston office, a book or books containing
abstracts of the volumes in which deeds are registered
and that the original volumes shall be deposited
and kept in the fire-proof vaults of the Super-
intendent's office at Cambridge.

Land of Coolidge Heirs Purchase of.
The President reported on behalf of the Committee
on Lots to whom was referred the matter of the pur-
chase of land on Grove Street, Watertown, formerly
belonging to the late John Coolidge, that they had
purchased of James H. Coolidge, Lot No. 6 on a Plan
of the estate of said John Coolidge, recorded with
Middlesex South District Deeds, Plan Book 57. p.42,
containing about 278,100 square feet, at a cost of
$4,550.77; and it was thereupon, –

Purchase Confirmed
Voted, that the report be accepted, and the action
of the Committee ratified and adopted in all
respects, and also that the said committee be
authorized to make such further purchases
of land adjoining said lot so purchased as
they shall deem expedient.

Notice of Appropriation
The President then gave notice, in accordance with
Article IX. of the By Laws, that, at the next meeting of
of the Board, he should ask for an appropriation to an
amount exceeding $1,000. to be expended in making
