Brattle St. Widening.
The subject of the proposed widening of Brattle
Street by the City of Cambridge in accordance with the
order of , was presented, and it was _

Voted, that the matter of widening Brattle Street and
the settlement with the City of Cambridge for damages
in consequence of the same be referred to the Commit-
tee on Lots, with full powers.

Greenhouse for Tropical Plants
The President then stated that it appeared from
a plan presented by the Superintendent that said
widening of Brattle Street, if carried out as pro-
posed would necessitate the removal of one of
the greenhouses and it was thereupon

Voted, that the Committee on Lots be authorized
to construct a new greenhouse, as a cost not
exceeding $3500, whenever, in their judgment,
it shall seem desirable so to do, and also to
make such other alterations as may be rendered
necessary in consequence.

Notice of Appropri-ation.
The President then gave notice, in accordance
with Article IX of the By-Laws, that, at the next
meeting of the Board, he should ask for an ap-
propriation to an amount exceeding $1000, to be ex-
pended for this purpose.
