J. M. Sears Gift of Lot for Ornamental Purposes.
Mr. Joshua M. Sears having stated that by the
purchase of the Fremont House property some years
ago, he had come into possession of Lot No. 324, sit-
uated on Chestnut Avenue and containing 300 square
feet, originally purchased by the Fremont House pro-
prietors, and that, not desiring to use the same, he
wished to convey it to the Corporation to be used for
ornamental purposes only, for which its location ren-
dered it particularly desirable, it was Voted, that the
gift of said Lot on the part of Mr. Sears, be accepted
in behalf of the Corporation, the same to be used for orna-
mental purposes only.

On motion of Mr. Johnson, seconded by Mr. Eaton,
it was further voted that the thanks of the Corpora-
tion be tendered to Mr. Sears for his generous gift.

Dissolved.

L. G. Farmer,

Secretary.
