the services of one man to keep the grounds in order."

Voted, "That we sincerely sympathize with his be-
reaved family in their affliction and that the Secre-
tary be directed to transmit to them a copy of these
votes as our testimonial to his character and worth
and our appreciation of his valuable services."

Voted, also, that the President be allowed to continue
the use of the house and grounds to Mr. Lovering's
family for a longer period if, in his judgment,
it should be consistent with the interests of
the corporation so to do.

Committee to select new Sup't.
Voted that the President and Messrs. Choate
and Jones be appointed a Committee to select
a new Superintendent and report.

Dissolved.

Not clear to me if "Oct. next" on last page and "July 1 next" on this page refers to 1895 or 1896. This is the meeting of May 24, 1895, less then 2-weeks before this meeting. While Oct. 1895 might be a reasonable time to continue salary payments to his widow, leaving their home by July 1, 1895 seems harsh.
