Board for the erection of the building, a larger sum
than Fifty Thousand dollars would be required. After
conference with Mr. Sears upon the question as to
what changes in the plans or omissions from the
details of construction might be made so as to bring
the cash down to that figure, and after discussion
by the Board upon the same it was unanimously
their opinion that, in view of the substantial and per-
manent features demanded by the proposed building,
it was not judicious to make any if such changes
or omissions. And, upon motion of Mr. Foster,
it was Voted to reconsider the vote passed at the
meeting of . last whereby it was voted
that the Committees on the proposed new Chapel be
authorized to construct the new office Building and
Chapel, substantially according to the plans of
Mr. Willard T. Sears, provided they could be built
by responsible contractors for the sum of Fifty
Thousand dollars which sum was not to include
the architect's commission.

Vote Amended
It was thereupon further voted to amend said
vote by striking out the words "Fifty Thousand Dollars,"
and inserting in place thereof the words "Sixty
Thousand dollars," so as to read as follows: _

"Voted that the Committee on the proposed new
Office Buliding and Chapel be authorized to con-
struct the buildings, substantially in accordance
