excess of the amount required, the balance, $990.97,
was, by vote of the subscribers to the fund, passed to the
credit of the Repair Fund, the income to be applied
to the care of the Story Lot. The total amount of
the subscriptions was $15,861.97.

After some informal discussion of the question of the
removal of the statues to the New Chapel, it was voted,
That the subject be laid on the table.

Petition of Edmund M. Wood Lot #3675.
A petition 362 was presented form Mr. Edmund M. Wood,
asking permission to inter the remains of his infant
granddaughter, Grace H. Wood in Lot No. 3675, which
had been re-conveyed by himself and others to the
Corporation in trust, such interment not being a specif-
ically provided for in such reconveyance.

Voted, that the subject be referred to the Com-
mittee on Interments.

Receiving Tomb. Use of regulated.
Voted, that after a body has been once interred
in the Cemetery, the same shall not be allowed to
be placed in the Receiving Tomb, except upon the
order of the Committee on Interments.

Widening of Mt. Auburn St. Counsel to be employed
The President reported that he had retained coun-
sel to attend the hearing before the County Commis-
sioners on , upon the question o fthe widen-
ing of Mount Auburn Street, and to look after the
interests of the Corporation in the matter.

Voted, that the action of the President in this re-
gard be fully ratified and approved.
